This intimately sized print edition includes nine hand done spray-paintings under gloss black silk screen print. Created in 2024, each unique work displays a typical James interior with all necessary accoutrements: antique furniture, a Kalashnikov, potted plants. The abstracted, spray-painted color beds of these works provide a lively foundation for the inky black of James’ domestic totems. Nearer and Dearer is a set of nine unique 19” by 24” works printed on 335gsm Coventry rag. This Todd James print was produced at Peace Manufacturing / ESPO’s Art World in Brooklyn, New York.
